Lilies and Chrysanthemums scarves with geometric shapes

  • I have developed a new design of floral scarves for my small company that produces various textiles and accessories in Berlin. There are lilies drawn on the first scarf, and a bouquet of chrysanthemums on the second one. I was inspired by Berlin’s beautiful gardens and parks. For these designs I used the sketches I made in the botanical garden.

As a base I combined light and dynamic graphical flowers’ sketches with simple colorful shapes, triangles inscribed in a circle. I used three required composition elements that I try to use in each of my designs. First of all these are the decorative flowers that are drawn plain air. In this case these are white lilies and chrysanthemums of different colors. Second important design element are the outlines of colorful triangles that make design more fresh and modern. Third design element is a mandatory addition of light dynamics to the whole composition that is achieved by falling petals. This makes impression of dynamics and adds life to the whole composition.

I have used a poured soft silk fabric for the project that supported lightness and softness of the scarves.
