SCALES

  • We designed a signage campaign for a private preparatory school that caters to reclusive students who refuse to go to school. Rulers are incorporated throughout the signage as a graphic device, representing the growth potential of the students. In the entrance is a gigantic ruler in 9 different measurement units including the imperial system, the metric system and indigenous Japanese units. Upon entering the school, students can measure themselves in a host of different units – even those they are unfamiliar with – which help to foster an understanding of different units and perspectives.
