The State Museum at Majdanek
Museum at Majdanek was founded on the grounds of the former German concentration camp in Lublin, Poland. The mission of the museum is to cultivate the memory and promote historical education about the German occupation in Lublin during World War II.
Our team was asked to develop a structure and layout of a new website. By analyzing the history of Majdanek and existing image of the museum, we decided to go a step further and design a coherent visual identity. The design concept is based on 7 vertical lines referring to the fence, starved prisoners and seven religions, whose followers were imprisoned in the camp. Former prisoners believe that faith allowed them to survive the most difficult moments.
